Blackout and dim-out fabric

Blackout lining

€11.00/m

A lining that turns any decorative or sheer fabric into a darkening curtain. It is sewn to the back of the main fabric, adds 100% light blocking and protects a costly face fabric from UV fading. The face fabric can then be chosen for its looks alone, with the full darkening kept.

  • Light held back: about 100%
  • Width: 300 cm
  • Purpose: technical lining
  • Care: depends on the main fabric it is sewn to

Suits:

  • Protecting costly fabrics
  • Light-proofing a bedroom
  • Non-standard design projects

Colour palette

The lining comes in a range of colours, chosen to suit the main fabric and the specification of the project.

32 colours. Colours are numbered as in the photo, from left to right.

The colours are taken from a photo of the fabric sample, so the shade can look slightly different on your screen. You will see the exact shade on a real sample.

Interior style and use

The lining is a technical product that turns any decorative or sheer fabric into a darkening curtain. The client can choose any face fabric for its looks, and the lining supplies the darkening. It is particularly useful in commercial interiors.

Light control and privacy

About 100% of the light is held back when it is sewn to the main fabric. It also protects the (costly) face fabric from UV fading, which matters for south-facing windows with fine fabrics.

Care and durability

Care depends on the main fabric the lining is sewn to, so ask when choosing. The lining prolongs the life of the face fabric by shielding it from UV rays.

Why choose this fabric?

When you already have a fabric you like that lacks only the blackout, the lining keeps the design free and adds full darkening.
