The sheer fabric catalogue
Sheer curtains filter the light and give privacy without losing the daylight. Pale colours make a room look larger, and a ceiling track makes the ceiling look higher. The lightest fabrics are Voile (€9.50 per metre, lets 85% of the light through) and Net sheer (€12 per metre, 90%); ground-floor flats are better suited by denser fabrics that show less, such as Sevim or Soft voile.
There are eleven sheer fabrics, priced per running metre. The amount of fabric you need is the track length multiplied by the fullness of the heading, 1.5–2.5×.

All the fabrics are made up in Lithuania. From order confirmation to installation, curtains, roman blinds and other blinds take 3–4 weeks, and tracks 1–2 weeks. The full catalogue with specifications is on the fabrics page, and the designer brings fabric samples to the visit.
How much light should the fabric let through?
Sheer fabrics differ in how much light they let through, from 45% to 90%. The choice depends on the floor, the side of the window and how much privacy you need.
Most transparent (80–90%): Voile, Net sheer and Lietutis suit south-facing rooms and first-floor windows, where the most light matters. Medium (60–75%): Crepe, Šilkas, Lavina, Ramune and Nobel balance light and privacy, and suit a living room well. Semi-opaque (45–55%): Sevim and Soft voile give more privacy while still letting light through, and suit ground-floor flats and children's rooms.
Which sheer curtains suit which room?
Each room has its own fabric, chosen for its light and privacy. Living room: Voile, Lavina or Šilkas for natural light and privacy. Kitchen: Net sheer or Non-iron net sheer, which resist damp and are easy to clean. Bedroom: Sevim or Soft voile as the first layer in front of blackout curtains.
Why combine sheer and lined curtains?
For bedrooms and living rooms, two layers of curtains are the most practical choice. By day the sheers let the light in; at night, blackout curtains darken the room. Two layers give privacy, control of the light and a fuller look.

Questions
How much do made-to-measure sheer curtains cost?
About €220–380 for a full set (fabric, making and fitting) on a standard 200 × 260 cm window. Fabric costs from €9.50 per metre (Voile); most sheers cost €12–16 per metre, and the dearest (Nobel, Šilkas) up to €16.50 per metre. The exact price is given after measuring, which is free in Vilnius. More is on the curtain prices page.
How do Voile and Net sheer differ?
Voile (lets 85% of the light through, €9.50 per metre) is the classic light sheer with an even fall. Net sheer (90%, €12 per metre) has a more open structure, with more air and light, and suits a kitchen. Linen-look fabrics (Raw, Heritage) have a natural matt texture and are denser than Voile and Net sheer, so they more often hang as the only layer or as the lined one; see the linen curtains page.
Which sheer curtains suit small rooms?
Light, airy sheers (voile type, 80–90% of the light) on a ceiling track make the ceiling look higher and the room larger. In a room smaller than 12 m², avoid heavy fabrics (over 250 g/m²) and a high fullness (above 2.5×).
Are sheer curtains suitable for a bedroom?
Yes, as an extra layer in front of lined (blackout) curtains: you have the light by day, and the room can be darkened at night. Sevim (lets 45% of the light through) and Soft voile (55%) give enough privacy by day even without a second layer.
How do I look after sheer curtains?
Most sheer fabrics wash at 30 °C on a gentle cycle; put the plastic hooks in a laundry bag. Dry them in the shade and hang them damp, which avoids ironing. Vacuum regularly with a soft attachment: dust collects faster than you think.
How much fabric does my window need?
1.5–2.5× the track length, depending on the heading. A window 200 cm wide needs 300–500 cm of fabric. We work out the exact amount at the consultation, and the calculator gives a first estimate.
Can I combine sheer and lined curtains?
Yes. A double layer is practical in bedrooms and living rooms: the sheer filters the light by day, and lined (blackout) curtains darken the room at night. We can propose matching fabrics and tracks for both layers.
