Curtains
Made-to-measure curtains
- Curtains are made to the width and drop of each window: sheers for the day, dim-out or blackout fabrics for the evening.
- Sheer fabrics start at €9.50 per metre, dim-out and blackout fabrics at €24 per metre (October 2026).
- Measuring is free in Vilnius. From order confirmation to installation takes 3–4 weeks.
For flats, houses and hotels in Vilnius and across Lithuania. The fabric is chosen at your window, every curtain is made to the designer's measurements, and the track goes up before the curtains are hung.

Which fabrics can I choose?
Sheers and voiles let daylight through and keep the room private from the street. Linen and linen-look weaves give a soft, matt fall. Dim-out fabrics hold back most of the light; blackout fabrics, or any fabric with a blackout lining, darken a bedroom for sleep.
Many windows take two layers: a sheer on the inner track for the day and a heavier curtain on the outer one for the evening. The fabrics come from makers in Turkey, Spain, Germany, France and Poland, and the designer brings them to your home as samples.
Which pleat suits the room?
Wave pleats run on a track and form even, rounded folds from end to end; they need about twice the track length in fabric. Pinch pleats gather the fabric into tailored double folds and suit both tracks and poles. A simple tape heading uses about one and a half times the track length and gives a softer, less formal line.
How long, and how wide?
Floor-length curtains usually finish 1–2 cm above the floor. If you want the fabric to rest on the floor, 10–20 cm extra is enough.
The track should run 20–30 cm past each side of the window so the open curtains stack clear of the glass. Fixed close to the ceiling, or in a ceiling recess, it makes the window look taller.
How does an order run?
Four steps, with the price and the dates agreed before anything is made.
- 1Visit and measuringThe designer brings fabric samples and measures the windows. Measuring is free in Vilnius. In Kaunas and Klaipėda it is free on orders of €200 or more. Elsewhere in Lithuania the visit is paid, and the price is agreed beforehand.
- 2Written quoteFabric in metres, pleat or fold, track, fitting and the total price, in writing, before anything is ordered.
- 3MakingMade in Lithuania to the designer's measurements. From order confirmation to installation takes 3–4 weeks.
- 4Fitting and warrantyThe track or mechanism is fitted and the curtains or blinds are hung. Warranty: 12 months on sewing and tracks, 24 months on mechanisms and motors.
What does it cost?
Each quote is written after the visit and lists the fabric in metres, the pleat, the track and the fitting. The fabric and the size of the window decide most of the price: sheers start at €9.50 per metre, dim-out and blackout fabrics at €24.
Questions
Can you make curtains for a track I already have?
Yes. The designer measures the existing track and the drop, and the curtains are made to fit it. You can hang them yourself or have them hung.
How dark can a bedroom be?
With a blackout fabric, or a face fabric with a blackout lining, very dark. Light leaks at the sides and top, so for a dark room the track goes into a ceiling recess or runs well past the window on both sides.
How are the curtains cleaned?
Most sheers wash at 30 °C. Some dim-out and blackout fabrics wash the same way; others are dry-clean only.
