Curtain

How an order runs: from consultation to fitting

Six steps from the first conversation to curtains hanging in your home, and what happens at each.

From order confirmation to installation, curtains, roman blinds and other blinds take 3–4 weeks, and tracks 1–2 weeks. An order has six stages: a consultation on fabrics and design, professional measuring (or your own measuring with the guide), a quote with detailed prices, making in Lithuania from European fabrics, delivery to your home, and fitting with the pleats dressed. Every item is made to the measurements of your window.

Consultation

Depends on the number of windows

The design consultation

The designer visits your home, or we talk by e-mail. We find out what you need: the purpose of the room, which way the window faces, how dark you want it, and your colours. You see the fabric samples, and the designer helps you choose.

  • We look at photographs of your interior
  • We discuss the budget and what you expect
  • We recommend suitable fabrics
  • We advise on tracks and fitting
2

Measuring

At the same visit

Measuring at home, or by yourself

Exact measurements are the key step. You can have the windows measured on site, or measure them yourself with our detailed guide. The width and height of the window, and the distance from the ceiling and the sill, are measured. Measuring is free in Vilnius. In Kaunas and Klaipėda it is free on orders of €200 or more. Elsewhere in Lithuania the visit is paid, and the price is agreed beforehand.

  • The width and height of the window (cm)
  • The distance from the ceiling to the top of the window
  • The depth of the sill and the position of radiators
  • Recording obstacles (pipes, cables)
3

Quote

After measuring

A price worked out for your windows

From the measurements and the fabrics you chose we prepare a detailed quote. It gives the price of each window separately, the fabric names, the making details and the final total with fitting.

  • Fabric names and prices (€ per metre)
  • The cost of making
  • The cost of tracks and poles
  • The cost of fitting
  • The final total
4

Making

3–4 weeks (tracks 1–2)

Made to order in Lithuania

Once you confirm the quote, making begins. Each item is made to order to your measurements, from European fabrics, on professional sewing equipment.

  • The fabric is prepared and cut
  • Sewing with reinforced thread
  • The pleats are formed (where needed)
  • A quality check before packing
5

Delivery

At an agreed time

Delivery to your home anywhere in Lithuania

The finished items are delivered to your home. Curtains are packed in protective wrapping so that they arrive without being folded. We contact you about a convenient time before delivery.

  • The delivery price is given in the quote
  • A flexible delivery time
  • We get in touch before arriving
  • Delivery can be combined with fitting
6

Fitting

Depends on the number of windows

Fitting, and dressing the pleats

The track or pole is fitted, the curtains are hung and the pleats are dressed. You are shown how to use and care for them.

  • Fixing the poles or tracks
  • Hanging the curtains
  • Smoothing and shaping the pleats
  • A briefing on use and care

Questions

How long does the whole order take, from consultation to fitting?

From order confirmation to installation, curtains, roman blinds and other blinds take 3–4 weeks, and tracks 1–2 weeks. Before that come the consultation, measuring and the quote, which usually take a few days.

Can I measure my windows myself?

Yes, there is a detailed measuring guide. For more complex windows (bay windows, sloping roofs) we recommend having them measured, to avoid mistakes.

What if the quoted price is too high?

We can always suggest other fabrics, headings or tracks that fit your budget.

Do you give a warranty?

Yes. Our warranty covers sewing and tracks for 12 months, and mechanisms and motors, electric ones included, for 24 months. Our warranty does not limit your rights under Lithuanian law: the seller is liable for any lack of conformity that existed at delivery and becomes apparent within two years, and this applies to made-to-measure items and to fitting we carried out.
