The track decides how a curtain falls and runs. Ceiling tracks, wall poles, bendable tracks and electric tracks are chosen to suit the window and the room.

What is a curtain pole or track?

A pole or track is what the curtains hang from. There are three main types: the wall pole, the ceiling track and the bendable track. Which one suits depends on the weight of the curtains, the width of the window, the ceiling height and the look you want.

How do I choose the right track?

By the load, the shape of the window, what it will be fixed to and the look. Weigh up the weight of the curtains (light sheers or heavy velvet), the width of the window (long windows need stronger tracks and extra brackets), the ceiling (concrete, plasterboard or timber decides how it is fixed) and the style: minimalist, classic or industrial.

Which track suits your windows?

The five types differ in fitting, mechanism, noise and price. Ceiling tracks (from €9 per metre) suit a minimalist interior and make the room look taller. Wall poles (from €14 per metre) suit a classic look, with decorative finials. Bendable tracks (priced after measuring) suit bays, curved walls and unusual shapes. Electric tracks (from €170 per metre) run on Brel motors, for a smart home. For a more sustainable choice, what matters most is a track that will not need replacing after a few years.

How are tracks measured and fitted?

The window is measured first, the brackets are chosen next, and the whole mechanism is adjusted at fitting. How the curtain falls depends on exact measurements, which are taken in Vilnius, Kaunas, Klaipėda and other towns.

Tracks can be fixed to any type of ceiling or wall. To fit one yourself, see the guide to hanging curtains.

Questions

What are the main types of track and pole?

Ceiling tracks, wall poles and tracks for recesses. A ceiling track gives a clean line; a wall pole suits a room where the pole itself is meant to be a decorative feature.

How long a track does my window need?

The track should run 20–30 cm past the window opening on each side, that is 40–60 cm longer than the window is wide. The open curtains then clear the glass, and the room gets more daylight.

Can tracks be motorised?

Yes. An electric track runs from a remote or a phone, or from a smart-home system. It is most useful on tall or hard-to-reach windows and with heavy curtains.

How do I choose the right track?

By the weight of the curtains, the length of the window, the ceiling or wall it is fixed to and the look you want. In practice the choice starts with measuring and a realistic estimate of the load.

Do you fit tracks across Lithuania?

Yes. Tracks are measured and fitted in Vilnius, Kaunas, Klaipėda and other towns, on an agreed schedule.

What warranty do tracks have?

Our warranty covers sewing and tracks for 12 months, and mechanisms and motors, electric ones included, for 24 months. Our warranty does not limit your rights under Lithuanian law: the seller is liable for any lack of conformity that existed at delivery and becomes apparent within two years, and this applies to made-to-measure items and to fitting we carried out.

When is a ceiling track better than a wall pole?

Usually when you want a minimalist look, a room that seems taller and blackout curtains that close tightly. A wall pole suits rooms where the fixing itself is part of the look.

Can I get a price guide before measuring?

Yes. The window width, a rough height and the type of track are enough for a first budget. The exact price follows measuring and a check of what the track will be fixed to.

What is the range of tracks and what do they cost?

Ceiling tracks, wall poles, electric tracks, bendable tracks for recesses and bays, and lasting, repairable poles and tracks. The price depends on the type, the length, the load and how hard the fitting is, so start with the product pages and the fitting cost page side by side.

Where in Lithuania can I buy good curtain poles and tracks?

Compare the whole set rather than the price per metre: the track, the brackets, the measuring, the fitting and the warranty. We work in Vilnius, Kaunas, Klaipėda and other towns, and the choice can be settled by e-mail or at a home visit.

How do I choose a sturdy track for a living room window?

Match the weight of the curtains, the material of the track and the style of the room. A ceiling track usually suits a modern living room; a wall pole suits a more decorative one, provided it can carry the fabric and does not darken the sides of the window.

Can I order a track in a particular design, with delivery to my home?

Yes. The type of track, the colour, the length and the fixing are agreed for your home, and then delivery, measuring and fitting are scheduled.

Can I see a large range of tracks online in Lithuania?

Yes, though the online range works best alongside a consultation, measuring and help with fitting. Then you compare more than the look: whether a given track suits your window, the weight of the curtain and your budget.

Which accessories should I plan together with the track?

Usually the brackets, the gliders, the end stops, the decorative finials, the cover profiles and, if needed, extra fixing points. They must match the track you choose, because they decide whether it runs quietly and steadily.
