Warranty

Updated: 23 October 2026

This is an English version for information. The Lithuanian text at curtain.lt/garantija is the one that applies.

This page covers two different things. The first is our warranty (a commercial warranty), which we give of our own accord. The second is the guarantee under the law, which is always yours.

Our warranty does not limit or replace your rights under the law. Where goods are of inadequate quality, the law lets you require the seller, free of charge, to give effect to your rights under Article 6.364¹ of the Civil Code of the Republic of Lithuania.

Who gives the warranty

MB Gojer, company code 307464230, Girulių g. 10, LT-12112 Vilnius. E-mail [email protected], phone +370 644 43814.

Our warranty applies to items we sold or fitted in Lithuania.

Our warranty: how long it lasts

Sewing (curtains, roman blinds and other items we sew): 12 months.

Tracks and poles, together with their fitting: 12 months.

Mechanisms and motors, electric ones included: 24 months.

The period runs from the day the item was handed over or fitted.

What our warranty covers

Sewing: seams coming apart, inaccurate making-up or another manufacturing defect.

Tracks and poles: the fixing work and their mechanical stability when used as intended.

Mechanisms and motors: their operation, where there is no physical damage and the item has been used properly.

If such a fault appears during the warranty period, we repair or replace the item or the part free of charge.

Our warranty covers faults that appear during its period. The guarantee under the law covers defects that already existed when the goods were delivered (see below).

When our warranty does not apply

Mechanical damage after fitting (for example tearing, breaking or unsuitable cleaning).

Natural wear of fabrics, or colour changes caused by direct sunlight.

Damage caused by work done by third parties or by re-fitting the item yourself.

These exclusions apply to our warranty only. They do not limit your rights under the law.

Your rights under the law

The seller is liable for any lack of conformity with the quality requirements that existed when the goods were delivered and becomes apparent within two years of delivery (Civil Code, Article 6.364(1)). This also applies to items sewn or made to your measurements (Article 6.350¹).

A defect that becomes apparent within one year of delivery is presumed to have existed at delivery, unless the seller proves otherwise (Article 6.364(5)).

If we fitted the item, we are liable for defects caused by incorrect fitting in the same way as for defects in the goods (Article 6.363(8)).

You may first choose to have the goods repaired or replaced, unless that is impossible or would cost the seller disproportionately much (Article 6.364¹(2)). Repair or replacement costs you nothing, is done within a reasonable time, and includes taking the item down and fitting it again (Article 6.364²).

If we do not repair or replace the goods, if the defect comes back, if it is serious, or if it is clear that we will not remove it within a reasonable time, you may require a proportionate price reduction or terminate the contract of sale and get your money back. A contract cannot be terminated over a minor defect (Article 6.364¹(5)–(6), Article 6.364³).

If the goods are repaired, the seller's period of liability is extended once, by one year (Article 6.364(3)).

Tell us about a defect no later than two months after the day you noticed it (Article 6.364¹(9)).

The 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to made-to-measure items, but all your rights concerning defects do.

How to make a warranty claim

1. Write to [email protected] or call +370 644 43814 and give the order number or date.

2. Add photos and a short description of the problem.

3. Once we have reviewed it, we propose a remedy and a timeframe. Where the guarantee under the law applies, you choose between repair and replacement.

If we do not accept your claim, we give you a reasoned written answer within 14 days (Law on Consumer Protection, Article 21).

Consumer disputes are heard out of court by the State Consumer Rights Protection Authority (VVTAT, Vilniaus g. 25, 01402 Vilnius, www.vvtat.lt). You may also go to court.
