Curtain tracks and motorised curtains
- A ceiling track carries the curtains from the ceiling line and makes the window look taller. Set into a plastered ceiling recess, it disappears and only the fabric shows.
- Motorised tracks open and close from a remote, a wall switch or a phone.
- Ceiling tracks start at €9 per metre before fitting; motorised tracks at €170 per metre, fitted and programmed (October 2026).
We fit tracks and motors by Eldeco, Brel, Forest and Somfy: cut to length, fixed to the ceiling or the wall, and, for motorised tracks, programmed on the fitting day.
Ceiling, recessed or wall-mounted?
A ceiling track is the usual choice for floor-to-ceiling curtains. A recessed track sits in a pocket in the ceiling, which has to be planned before the ceiling is finished; with a stretch ceiling, the track position is agreed with the ceiling installer first. A wall-mounted track or a pole suits rooms where the ceiling cannot take fixings.
When is a motor worth it?
On tall or wide windows, on curtains that are hard to reach, and in rooms where curtains open and close on a schedule. Somfy, Brel and Forest motors run from a remote, a wall switch, a phone or a smart-home system.
A motorised track needs a power point near one end of the track, so it is best planned before the walls are finished.
What does a motorised track cost?
€170 per metre and up, with the fitting and the programming included. The final price depends on the length, the motor, and whether the curtains open to one side or from the centre.
How does an order run?
The designer measures the windows and the ceiling, and the written quote lists the track, the motor if there is one, and the fitting. Tracks are fitted 1–2 weeks after the order is confirmed.
Our warranty covers sewing and tracks for 12 months, and mechanisms and motors, electric ones included, for 24 months.

Which makes do you fit?
Eldeco, Brel, Forest and Somfy. The designer suggests a track and motor for each window at the visit.
Can a track follow a bay window or a corner?
Yes, a bendable track can follow a bay or turn a corner. Ask about it at the visit; the timing for a bent track is set in the quote.
Can you fit a track for curtains I already have?
Yes. Tracks can be fitted on their own, 1–2 weeks after the order is confirmed.
