Returns and the right of withdrawal
This is an English version for information. The Lithuanian text at curtain.lt/grazinimas is the one that applies.
Standard goods held in stock can be returned within 14 days without giving a reason. Goods made to order, such as curtains, roman blinds and tracks made to your measurements, are an exception: the right of withdrawal does not apply to them, but all your rights in respect of defects do.
You may withdraw from the purchase of standard goods within 14 days of receiving them. This right does not apply to goods made to order (to your own dimensions) (CK 6.228¹⁰ str. 2 d. 3 p., Article 6.228¹⁰(2)(3) of the Civil Code of the Republic of Lithuania), but the guarantee under the law applies to defects. We refund the money within 14 days of your notice of withdrawal.
Which goods the 14-day right of withdrawal covers
Can be returned
- For standard goods held in stock (curtain tracks and poles of standard length, ready-made accessories, brackets, curtain hooks) the right of withdrawal runs for 14 days from receipt of the goods.
- You may inspect the goods as you would in a shop. If you have handled them more than was needed to inspect them, you are liable only for the loss in their value (CK 6.228¹¹ str. 8 d., Article 6.228¹¹(8)).
No right of withdrawal
- Goods made to order, to the dimensions you give (sewn curtains, roman blinds, cut tracks and poles, fabric by the metre): the right of withdrawal does not apply (CK 6.228¹⁰ 2 d. 3 p.). This condition is stated clearly with each such item when you order.
- This exception does not limit the guarantee under the law: it applies to goods made to order too, that is, we are liable for a lack of conformity that existed at delivery and becomes apparent within two years (CK 6.364 str., Article 6.364).
How a return works
- How long do I have to return something?
- Within 14 days of the day you receive the goods, tell us that you are withdrawing from the contract: with the function Withdraw from contract here below, by e-mail or by phone. You must send or hand over the goods themselves without delay, and no later than 14 days after your notice.
- Who pays for return shipping?
- The buyer pays the direct cost of returning the goods, unless agreed otherwise with us. We will agree the exact procedure when we answer your request.
- When will I get my money back?
- We refund the money no later than 14 days after your notice of withdrawal, but we may wait until we have received the goods or proof that they have been dispatched. We refund by the same means you paid with, unless you expressly agree to another.
- Is there a return fee?
- No. You bear only the direct cost of returning the goods and, if you handled them more than was needed to inspect them, the loss in their value. The law allows no other charges (CK 6.228¹¹ str., Article 6.228¹¹).
- How do I withdraw from the contract online?
- In the section Withdraw from contract here, enter your first name and surname, your order number and your e-mail, then confirm the statement. We send a confirmation at once, with the content of the statement and its date and time, and write separately about where to send the goods. The link to this function is at the bottom of every page and on the order status page.
