Tracks
Bendable curtain tracks for bay windows and curved walls
- A bendable curtain track is bent in one piece to the outline of a bay, an arch or a curved wall, so the curtain runs round the corners without a break.
- The smallest bending radius is 15 cm; the track is fixed to the ceiling or inside a ceiling recess.
- A straight window needs only a ceiling track; a bay or a corner window needs a bent one.
- The price of a bent track is given after measuring: it depends on the number of corners and the shape of the window.
Tracks are compact aluminium profiles, straight or bent to shape. They suit bay windows, arched windows and other awkward shapes.

What is a curtain track?
A curtain track is a straight or bendable aluminium profile that the curtain hooks run in. Unlike a decorative pole it is flat and compact, and it is often hidden behind a pelmet or in a ceiling recess. We supply straight tracks for standard windows, bendable tracks for bay and arched windows (bent into an S, L or U to follow the outline of the window) and electric tracks with remote control. The exact price is given after measuring, by the type and length of the profile.
Types of track
Straight tracks are the standard for straight windows: compact, practical and inexpensive. Bendable tracks are bent to the shape of the window, for bays and arches. Electric tracks have a quiet motor, remote control and smart-home integration.
Where are tracks used?
In bay windows, where a bendable track follows the shape of the window; in arched windows, bent to the radius of the arch; across panoramic windows, in long runs of 6 m and more; in ceiling recesses, where the fixing is hidden; and as room dividers, where curtains stand in for a wall.
How is a track bent for a bay window?
A bendable aluminium track is bent to the radius of the window, in a bay, a round room or an arched window, and follows its shape.
It runs parallel to the bay walls, on the room side, and the corners are bent as curves, not joined from separate pieces. The smallest bending radius is 15 cm: in a tighter corner the gliders stick. One, two or three tracks can run side by side, so a bay can take both a sheer and a lined curtain.
How do I measure a bay for a bendable track?
Not with a single number. A bay needs the length of each wall section, the angles between them and the distance from the wall to the line of the track. A track going on the ceiling is measured at the ceiling, because walls are often not exactly vertical.
The track needs room to bend at the corners: too close to the wall, a radius of 15 cm cannot be kept. So a bay is usually measured on site and the track bent to those measurements in advance, so that on the fitting day it follows the window exactly.
- Ceiling tracks for straight windows → single, double and hidden in a recess
- Electric curtain tracks → when you want to run the curtain in a bay by remote
What are the advantages of a track?
A track bends to any shape, the profile is small, and the hooks glide without effort. It can be set into the ceiling out of sight, the electric versions run by motor, and aluminium lasts with no maintenance.
How do measuring and fitting work?
The shape of the window is measured and the tracks are fitted anywhere in Lithuania.
Measuring is free in Vilnius. In Kaunas and Klaipėda it is free on orders of €200 or more. Elsewhere in Lithuania the visit is paid, and the price is agreed beforehand.
Questions
What are curtain tracks?
Straight or bendable aluminium profiles that the curtain hooks run in. They are fixed to the ceiling or the wall, and run straight or bent to the shape of the window.
What are bendable tracks for?
Bay windows, arched windows, round rooms and any other window shape that a straight track cannot follow.
How do tracks differ from traditional poles?
A track is flatter and smaller than a pole, is often hidden behind a pelmet, and is there to work rather than to be seen. Curtains also run more easily on it.
Can tracks be electric?
Yes. An electric track has a quiet motor and runs from a remote, a phone app or a smart-home system.
How much do curtain tracks cost?
A straight ceiling track costs from €9 per metre, and an electric track from €170 per metre, fitted and programmed. The price of a bendable track is given after measuring, because it depends on the shape of the window and the number of bends.
