Curtain

Curtain price calculator

Enter the sizes of your windows and get a rough estimate for curtains, roman blinds, roller blinds and tracks in a few minutes. Use it to see a rough budget before a consultation and to compare a few options side by side.

A palette of curtain fabrics for a rough price comparison

Compare at least two or three fabrics in the calculator: the material and the number of layers usually change the budget most.

What does the calculator help you estimate?

The estimate covers more than the fabric: sheer and lined curtains, roman blinds, tracks, making, fitting and the other basic items. It shows the difference between several products or price levels before you decide.

It helps most when the budget has to be set early: during a renovation, when several rooms are planned together, or when deciding whether to plan the curtains and the tracks at the same time.

How do you use the calculator so the result is useful?

Use realistic measurements and compare at least two options: for example, sheer and lined curtains against a single blackout layer, or a simpler track against an electric one. That quickly shows what affects the total most.

If you do not have exact measurements yet, use approximate figures, but remember that the final quote will still depend on the real track length, the fixing position and the fall of the chosen fabric.

What changes the total price most?

Most of the price comes from the width and height of the window, the fullness, the level of the fabric, a second layer, the chosen track and how complicated the fitting is. The same room costs far more with a sheer and a lined curtain on a double track, fitted, than with a single simple layer.

Electric tracks, blackout fabrics, non-standard windows and several products in one room are what most often raise a rough price.

When is a rough calculation enough?

A rough calculation is usually enough when you only want to check the direction of the budget, compare several product options or decide whether to move on to a consultation. It is a good start when the project is standard and what matters most is the general range of prices.

In those cases the calculator shortens the way to a decision, because the conversation starts from a budget rather than from nothing.

When is it better to move on to a consultation or measuring?

A consultation or a measuring visit is needed when windows are tall, in a corner or in a recess, when the track is non-standard, or when an exact blackout fit matters. A rough sum cannot show how the curtains and the track will work in that room.

At a consultation the fabric, the track layout, the pleats and what the track is fixed to are settled, and anything that should change is changed before the final order.

What should you prepare before calculating?

It helps to have the width and height of the window, to know whether you want sheer or lined curtains, roman blinds or roller blinds, and to decide roughly whether you will need a track as well. If you are unsure, start with one room and apply the same choices to the rest.

Without exact measurements the calculator still sets a budget; measuring or a consultation then confirms the numbers before anything is made.

What is the next step after a rough calculation?

If the numbers are close to your budget, the next step is a consultation to settle the fabric, the track, the pleats and the fitting date. The rough calculation then becomes a plan you can decide on or compare with other rooms.

If the rough sum is too high, the calculator helps you see what to change first: the level of the fabric, the number of layers, the type of product or the amount of fitting. So the calculator also guides the choice before an exact quote.

Why start with the calculator before the first conversation?

The calculator shortens the way to a decision, because you arrive at the consultation with a clearer budget frame. Instead of the abstract question "roughly how much will this cost?" you can talk about a concrete scenario: what sheers alone cost, what a double layer costs, how a roman blind differs and whether to plan the track fitting at the same time.

This helps most with a project of several rooms or a budget spread over stages. Even if the final sum changes after measuring, the calculator shows the priorities and keeps out choices that do not fit the plan.

Questions about the price calculator

Is the calculator price final?

The calculator gives a rough price. The final price depends on the chosen fabric, any extra details and the exact measurements, which are settled at the consultation. The exact price is given only after the measuring visit.

How do I measure a window for the calculator?

Approximate measurements are enough for the calculator. Measure the width of the window opening in metres. If you plan curtains that extend beyond the window, add 20–30 cm on each side. Measure the height from where the track will be fixed to the floor.

What is fullness (K)?

Fullness says how many times wider the fabric is than the track is long. K = 2.0 (a wave heading) means a 1 m track needs 2 m of fabric. A higher fullness gives fuller folds and a richer look.

Are the consultation and measuring paid?

Measuring is free in Vilnius. In Kaunas and Klaipėda it is free on orders of €200 or more. Elsewhere in Lithuania the visit is paid, and the price is agreed beforehand. At the consultation we discuss the fabrics and the colours and give the final quote.

What is the difference between sheer and lined curtains?

Sheer curtains (voile, net sheer) soften the light and give privacy by day. Lined curtains (blackout) hold back the light, give privacy in the dark hours and improve the quality of sleep.

What is included in the price of curtains?

The full price covers the fabric cut to size, the making, the track or ceiling track, the fitting and the hanging.

When are roman blinds the better choice?

Roman blinds suit smaller windows, kitchens, bathrooms and spaces where traditional curtains would take up too much room. They look neat and are easy to operate.

Can I get quotes for several options?

Yes. At the consultation you can get several quotes at different price levels (economy, standard and top range), which makes it easier to compare and decide by budget.

How long does making curtains take?

From order confirmation to installation, curtains, roman blinds and other blinds take 3–4 weeks, and tracks 1–2 weeks. Urgent orders are arranged separately.

Can I choose the fabric myself?

Yes. The designer brings the fabric samples to the home consultation, so you see the colour and the texture in the light of your own room. If you do not yet know what you want, use the calculator in its estimate mode, which picks standard fabrics.

How do ceiling tracks work?

Ceiling tracks are fixed to the ceiling and are almost invisible. A single track takes one layer of curtains, a double track the sheer and the lined curtains together. The track keeps the window looking clean.

Do you measure and fit across Lithuania?

Yes. Measuring and fitting are offered across Lithuania: on standard terms in Vilnius, Kaunas and Klaipėda, and elsewhere by separate arrangement.

What do I do with the PDF breakdown?

The PDF breakdown is a rough calculation. To continue, write to us or book a consultation. After precise measuring you receive the final quote.

Do you give a warranty?

Our warranty covers sewing and tracks for 12 months, and mechanisms and motors, electric ones included, for 24 months. A fault that appears within that time is put right free of charge. Our warranty does not limit your rights under Lithuanian law: the seller is liable for any lack of conformity that existed at delivery and becomes apparent within two years, and this applies to made-to-measure items and to fitting we carried out.
