How do you choose curtains for a room?
Choosing window dressings is often one of the hardest decisions when furnishing a new home or renovating an old one. Curtains, roller blinds and roman blinds take up a large part of a room, so their colour, texture and fall change the feel of the whole room.
Why see a photorealistic visualisation of your own room?
The traditional fabric swatch method often leaves an "imagination gap" that leads to disappointing results. The AI analyses the photo you upload and recognises the proportions of the window, the natural angle of the light and the placement of the furniture. Using IP-Adapter algorithms, it renders the textures of fabrics from our real catalogue rather than generic curtains. That removes the guesswork. In addition, the built-in virtual designer comments on your space.
Ceiling track or wall pole: which should I choose?
The type of track directly affects the look of the curtains and the proportions of the room:
- Ceiling tracks: Suited to minimalist and contemporary interiors. An aluminium ceiling track is fixed straight to the ceiling. That gives the illusion that the fabric falls from the ceiling itself, so the room looks taller.
- Wall poles (tubes): The classic way to hang curtains, fixed to the wall above the window recess. The pole is itself a decorative detail of the interior: you can choose brass, matt black metal or wood-effect finishes.
Lined curtains: weight, fall and function
The job of lined curtains goes well beyond privacy at night. They are the main element of how a room feels and sounds. A good, heavy fabric absorbs echo and adds depth of texture.
- Dim-out and blackout fabrics: Essential in bedrooms and home cinemas. They block up to 100% of the light, keep out street-lamp light at night and help the room stay cooler in summer.
- Intermediate fabrics: Fabrics that filter the light without blocking it fully. They give privacy while letting the room stay bright.
Sheer curtains and how they work with the interior
The main rule in design is that the sheer should not "compete" with the lined curtain. If you choose lined curtains with a strong pattern, we recommend smooth sheers such as voile for the sheer layer. The pleating matters too. Our AI visualisation shows the fall of a wave heading, which arranges the fabric in even, soft waves.
Roller blinds and roman blinds: a practical alternative
Wide curtains do not suit every room. In a kitchen or a bathroom, blinds that take up less room are often chosen:
- Roman blinds: The fabric rises in neat horizontal folds, and the same soft fabric as for curtains can be used.
- Roller blinds: The classic sun control: they lie close to the window glass and suit a minimalist interior or an office look.

Questions
How does the AI fitting room work?
You upload a photo of your room and mark the window. Then you choose the fabric and the track you want, and the system produces a photorealistic image of how these curtains or blinds will look in your interior.
How much do the curtains cost after the visualisation?
The price depends on the chosen fabric (for example sheer, linen-look or blackout), the size of the window and the type of track. With the visualisation in hand, the exact quote is given at a consultation.
What is the difference between a wall pole and a ceiling track?
A ceiling track is fixed straight to the ceiling and makes the room look taller, hiding the track. A wall pole (tube) is a more decorative element, fixed to the wall above the window recess.
How do I choose a curtain fabric for my living room?
If the living room is sunny and you want to control the light, choose blackout fabrics. If you want a softer look and to keep the natural light, intermediate fabrics, or linen-look with sheer curtains, will suit well.
Does the visualisation work with roller blinds and roman blinds?
Yes. In the virtual fitting room you can choose lined or sheer curtains, classic roller blinds or pleated roman blinds, made for your own window.
How long does making take after the design is confirmed?
From order confirmation to installation, curtains, roman blinds and other blinds take 3–4 weeks, and tracks 1–2 weeks. An order is confirmed by signing the contract or by paying a 50% advance against a proforma invoice.
How do I photograph my room for the AI visualisation?
For the best results, photograph the room in natural daylight. Make sure the whole window is in the frame, with a little of the floor and the ceiling. Use landscape format.
Can I save the curtain options that are generated?
Yes. After each generation you can download the photo straight to your device, so you can compare different styles and show them to your family before you decide.
