About 25 mm wooden blinds

25 mm wooden blinds in basswood are the most compact option, suited to smaller windows and to classic and Scandinavian interiors. The narrow slats allow finer adjustment of the light and give a delicate look.

These blinds are made 270–1800 mm wide and 300–3000 mm high, and the maximum area with the maker's warranty is 3.0 m². They are operated by a cord (raising and lowering) and a wand (tilting the slats). With decorative tapes, they are operated by cords alone.

Basswood is light, even in grain and takes colour well: the range covers more than 30 shades, from white to wenge.

How are they fitted, and with which brackets?

There are three ways to fit: with a universal (face/top fix) bracket on the wall or ceiling, with a ceiling (top fix) bracket, or with a non-invasive bracket directly on the opening sash of the window, without drilling. The non-invasive bracket suits opening sashes only (colours: white, brown, anthracite, black). The bottom profile is fixed to the window frame with a clear plastic fixing.

Decorative tapes

Decorative tapes are available (at a surcharge) in 17 colours: white, ivory, beige, alabaster, mocca, sand, dark beige, raw linen, light brown, rust, cocoa, dark brown, grey, black, graphic pearl, graphic safari, fishbone safari. With decorative tapes the blind is operated by cords alone (no wand).

How high is the stack of a raised blind?

The stack of a raised blind depends on the height of the blind. Allow for it when the blind is fixed to the wall above the window, so that once raised it does not cover the glass.

Important information about child safety

In some circumstances, infants and small children can become entangled in the control cords of window dressings, which creates a serious risk of strangulation. We recommend fixing the controls out of children's reach (no lower than 1500 mm from the floor) and using the cord safety device supplied with the blind. Check regularly that the cords are properly secured and do not form loops.

Questions

Which windows suit 25 mm wooden blinds?

Can they be fitted without drilling?

Yes. The 25 mm blinds have a non-invasive fitting: a bracket is fixed directly to the opening sash of the window, without drilling. It suits plastic windows with opening sashes. Colours: white, brown, anthracite, black.

How much do 25 mm wooden blinds cost?

From €56 per m², as a guide, with fitting at €15 per blind. The price depends on the size of the blind, the colour and extras (decorative tapes, non-invasive fitting), and is exact once the windows have been measured.

How do I look after wooden blinds?

Remove dust regularly with a soft cloth or a vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment. Avoid wet cleaning, because the wood can swell. For stronger dirt use a dry microfibre cloth. Do not fit them in damp rooms.
